AI Developer
Location: Stellenbosch (Hybrid, 4 days onsite per week)
Contract: 6 months (renewable based on performance)

Position Summary
The AI Developer will design, develop, and deploy AI-driven solutions using advanced tools such as Claude Code and Codex within enterprise environments. The role focuses on scalable, secure applications that enhance banking, payments, and fintech operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise AI models and algorithms for banking applications.
• Integrate AI tools into enterprise systems to automate processes and improve decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and performance standards.
• Troubleshoot and refine AI solutions.
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• Proven AI development experience in enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++.
• Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, AWS, or Azure.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant discipline.
• Banking, payments, or fintech experience.
• NLP, Generative AI, and LLM knowledge.

Skills Required

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• AI/ML deployment and MLOps expertise.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Experience
Mid to Senior Level (3+ years AI development experience, preferably within financial services).

Working Environment
Hybrid working model with a collaborative and innovation-focused culture. Occasional travel may be required.
