Technology Manager (Restaurant)
A leading organisation within the hospitality and quick-service restaurant environment is looking for an experienced Technology Manager to oversee and enhance restaurant technology operations across multiple sites.
This role is ideal for a hands-on technology professional with strong operational support, infrastructure, vendor management, and project delivery experience within a high-availability environment.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Operations & Support
• Manage and support restaurant technology platforms across multiple locations
• Ensure optimal performance and uptime of in-store systems including POS, kiosks, digital ordering, and customer-facing technologies
• Act as the escalation point for operational technology issues and coordinate resolution with internal teams and external service providers
• Analyse recurring technical incidents and implement improvement initiatives
Systems & Infrastructure
• Oversee deployment, configuration, and maintenance of restaurant technology systems
• Coordinate software upgrades, patches, backups, and compliance-related updates
• Ensure stable and secure network connectivity across all sites
• Support hardware refreshes and infrastructure enhancements where required
Project Delivery
• Participate in technology planning for new site rollouts, refurbishments, and operational upgrades
• Coordinate implementation activities with business stakeholders and third-party vendors
• Track project progress, timelines, and successful delivery milestones
Security & Governance
• Ensure technology environments adhere to operational and security standards
• Coordinate infrastructure assessments and security testing activities
• Drive initiatives focused on improving resilience, performance, and operational continuity
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
• Manage relationships with service providers and technology partners
• Monitor vendor performance against agreed service levels
• Drive accountability and continuous service improvement initiatives
Requirements
• Proven experience managing technology operations within a restaurant, retail, hospitality, or multi-site environment
• Strong understanding of POS systems, networking, and store technology infrastructure
• Experience working with third-party vendors and support partners
• Solid project coordination and implementation experience
• Knowledge of IT security, infrastructure support, and operational best practices
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Advantageous
• Experience supporting large-scale restaurant or retail technology environments
• Exposure to digital ordering platforms, kiosks, or customer engagement technologies
• Relevant IT certifications or tertiary qualification
