Change Manager Lead
We are seeking a seasoned and dedicated Change Manager to lead all change-related activities for the implementation of our new Postgraduate Digital Platform. This is a pivotal role that will ensure a smooth and successful transition for the university community, driving readiness and maximizing the project's benefits through high user adoption.
Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning: Develop, own, and execute the end-to-end change management strategy and plan for the project.

Assessment: Conduct comprehensive stakeholder analysis, impact assessments, and change readiness evaluations to accurately inform the change strategy and anticipate areas of resistance.

Tool Development: Design and build a practical change management toolkit, including essential communication templates, detailed stakeholder maps, and robust feedback mechanisms.

Engagement & Communication: Lead all stakeholder engagement and communication efforts, ensuring students, supervisors, and administrative staff are consistently informed, prepared, and fully supported throughout the transition.

Project Integration: Collaborate closely with the multi-disciplinary project team to seamlessly integrate change management activities into the overall project plan and timeline.

Training & Support: Develop and implement effective training and support plans to equip all user groups with the necessary skills and knowledge to use the new platform effectively.

Measurement & Reporting: Define and measure success metrics for change adoption and provide regular, insightful reports on progress and change-related risks to project leadership and executive structures.

Coaching & Advising: Act as a coach and advisor to senior leaders and managers to help them fulfill their roles as effective change sponsors and champions.

Organizational Alignment: Integrate with line managers and HR to identify requisite organization design and development requirements.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement, enhancing the process and approach based on lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills and Experience

Experience: A minimum of 7 years of professional change leadership experience in a dedicated Change Manager role, with at least 3 years in a Lead capacity.

Change Establishment: Proven ability to establish and lead the change management function within a project environment where the discipline is new or immature.

Methodology Expertise: Expert knowledge of and experience applying formal change management methodologies.

Certification: Must hold a current Practitioner Level certification in a recognised change management methodology (e.g., Prosci Certified Change Practitioner).

Strategic Execution: Demonstrable experience designing and implementing change management strategies, plans, and toolkits for complex projects.

Project Fluency: Deep understanding of project environments and the ability to work effectively in both Agile/Scrum and Waterfall/Traditional settings.

Core Skills: Strong capabilities in change and impact analysis and training development and delivery experience.

Communication: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate the case for change and engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Aptitude: A proactive, problem-solving aptitude with meticulous attention to detail.

Technical Tools: Working knowledge of Microsoft tools.
Highly Advantageous Experience:

Senior HR / Organizational Development (OD) experience.

Experience with large, interdependent projects.

Experience working within higher education or public sector environments.

Substantial experience leading change management initiatives on complex, large-scale technology implementation projects.
Qualifications

A completed bachelor's degree in a relevant domain such as Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Communications, or Business Administration,
- OR relevant and current certifications (e.g., PROSCI, APMG Change Management Certification, CMI Accreditation, Certified Change Management Professional™ (CCMP™) credentials) at Practitioner Level aligned with the Change Management Institute's Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK).
