Our client in the oil and gas industry is currently looking for a Senior Data & Information Architect to join their team. Your role will involve leading initiatives and projects to achieve this vision, ensuring the organization thrives in a data-centric environment. You’ll collaborate with both business and IT teams to enhance the quality of information and data, enabling swift, well-informed decisions based on reliable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Architect to uphold IT and data standards, policies, and governance frameworks, driving the long-term Enterprise Architecture roadmap.
- Identify critical information needs for business operations, prioritizing content types, and implementing KPIs to continually assess data quality, uniqueness, and timeliness, aligning with business objectives.
- Educate business and IT stakeholders on data, information, and analytics policies and governance.
- Lead initiatives to enhance information and data quality, facilitating agile decision-making.
- Establish and oversee information and data architecture governance forums.
- Promote data strategies across the organization and among relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain information and data architecture strategy and roadmap, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models, metadata models, data lifecycle views, and master data architectures.
- Design architecture frameworks to support multi-speed deployment with effective management controls.
- Advocate for data-driven decision-making to steer strategic business decisions.
- Ensure alignment of data and information architecture strategies with organizational needs and business imperatives.
- Provide consultancy services to support business and IT teams during various project stages, including RFI, RFP, project scoping, budgeting, and high-level conceptual design.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a related field.
- Certification in an industry-recognized architecture standard such as TOGAF or equivalent (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Data Architect or similar role.
- Operational management experience is advantageous.
- Background in information and data architecture and application development.
- Proficiency in data warehousing and mining.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant technologies, including data modeling, business process modeling, data analysis, data quality, and master data management.
- Experience in innovation and digital transformation is preferred.
